Wimberley Fire Rescue FireFighters

Carrol Czichos, Fire Chief

Chief Czichos, a Wimberley native, began volunteering with Wimberley Volunteer Fire Department in 19XX. There were only XX paid firefighters and volunteers at the time. Carrol’s father, Raymond Czichos and fire chief at the time, had already led the department for XX years.

During Chief Czichos leadership, the Wimberley Valley population grew for approximately XXXX to XXXXXX today. He continues to manage the Departments team of firefighters equipment and responses to emergency calls. This has been a 50-year commitment to maintain safety in a community that has experienced some truly tragic events.

In addition to Chief Czichos, there are four long-time (decades long) volunteers who continue to bear the responsibility of the Emergency Service District #4, the Wimberley Valley District, by sitting on ESD#4’s Board of Commissioners.
